He's Official

We registered Archie the other day, so now he looks super cute wearing his tag :)

He's just less of a boy now, you might say...

As Amy put it so well.
Archie went to the vet around 10am yesterday and came home at around 5:30pm.
Why was he at the vet?
To be desexed. He came home almost asleep and with not much control of his body and with a little shaved patch on his leg. Even though I knew he'd be alright, I was really worried seeing him like that. As the night went on he began to wake up more and regain some movement. He'd looked up at you and wag the tip of his tail.

Amy stayed up late to watch Dance and then couldn't sleep so she was up with him. He had a wheatbag to keep him warm, too. She said he stood up in the night.

This morning he got up to eat a little breakfast and he's went outside a few times today but has slept a lot.
So, he's going back to normal but he is slow and a little wobbly at the moment.

Here's some photos I took of him today;
He looks so sleepy in this one.

The Pointing (da da da, da na na na!)

"The pointing game", it's name is fairly self-explanatory, you point into some grass and Archie quite throws himself onto that spot, probably thinking that we're helping him find lizards and other fun things to chase

He pounces-

He misses-

And still hunting-

Archie & Amy have ears....

The photo above is part of Amy's "52 weeks: Me and the pooch" project. Looks all calm & happy right?, well I thought I'd show you some out-takes, so you can see what we go through to get cute shots like this.

Trying to get the hat to fit right....

oops! not quite...

a treat to keep him happy....

a dose of the wigglies (I think he wanted to go chase something)...

a little help from Kathryn...

& just cos it's cute...
All the out-takes are in chronological order.....the shot Amy used is actually from near the end of the session.....he got more co-operative, not less :)

Archie, Archie, Archie

Time to blog about the cutest dog ever, Archie!
I was out taking photos of a book and he came under the chair to see what I was up to. I whistled and he tilted his head, so cute!

Archie had to stay inside for a while the other day while Dad and Christopher chopped wood and he really wanted to go back out!

Archie licked and sniffed the present I was taking photos of, he even tried to eat the flower.
